We are proud to partner with Folds of Honor through the holiday season. For each seasonal entrée purchased at one of our participating restaurants through December 25th, we’ll donate $1 to their local efforts.
Folds of Honor stands in the financial gap of the more than one million dependents adversely affected by war, providing educational scholarships to the children and spouses of those killed or disabled while serving our nation.
Our award winning Rose Meal program supports the Portland Rose Festival Foundation and the work they do to keep the 100+ year old Portland tradition alive. Each year, in May and June the Elmer’s menu features seasonal menu entrées identified as Rose Meals.
For each Rose Meal purchased by a Guest, we donate $1 to the Portland Rose Festival Foundation.
Since our Rose Meal program began in 2010, together we have raised $86,907 for the Rose Festival Foundation. Our feature Rose Meals include our Strawberry-Apple Poppyseed Salad, Fresh Fruit Waffle and Fresh Strawberry Blintzes.
Elmer’s Restaurants participating include: Andresen (Vancouver), Clackamas, Cornell Oaks (Beaverton), Delta Park (Portland), Gresham, Hillsboro, Mall 205 (Portland), Mill Plain (Vancouver), Parkrose (Portland), San Rafael (Portland), Tigard, and Woodburn.
In 2011, Elmer’s Restaurants joined the Children’s Cancer Association Hearts of Joy campaign. We were inspired by the work the CCA does to support and embrace local families with seriously ill children. The Hearts of Joy campaign is supported at our 10 Portland-area restaurants beginning in January and ending on Valentine’s Day.
Through the generosity of our Guests and team members, along with our company match, we have raised $173,742 for the CCA in the last 7 years.
The National Restaurant Association created the Restaurant Neighbor Award to help honor restaurants in the field of outstanding community service and involvement. In 2013, Southern Oregon Elmer’s received this award for the positive contributions that were made in our local communities.

Each holiday season, local Elmer’s Restaurants are proud to partner with Sparrow Clubs of Southern Oregon to give wings to local children in need.
Sparrow Clubs exist to set the stage for simple, yet heroic, acts of kindness in schools and youth culture by empowering kids to help kids in medical need. When a school in the local community makes a decision to “adopt” a local sparrow, they commit to supporting the sparrow family with love and encouragement as they earn sponsorship dollars by doing community service.
Through the generosity of our Guests and team members, along with our company match, we have raised $63,366 to help provide program support and “sparrow cash” to fund sparrow projects and help the sparrow families in the last 3 years.
Guests at any participating Southern Oregon Elmer’s Restaurant can purchase a paper Sparrow for $1, which will then be hung on the wall with the donor’s name proudly displayed. Or, for only $10, Guests can fly their Sparrow from the ceiling.
Make a difference for children, families, and students in our communities! Make sure to visit one of these great restaurants this holiday season, enjoy a delicious meal, and add a Sparrow to the wall or ceiling!
